I like to treat my patients as partners in care and believe in full transparency in discussing their conditions with them. He has researched in the field of obesity and metabolic disorders and role of visceral fat in inflammatory bowel diseases in NYC and at Cleveland Clinic under research grants. He has worked extensively on fatty liver diseases in children, both clinically as well as in lab research. Dr Gupta has worked under UNICEF grant on iodine metabolism in infants in New Delhi. He has worked in various research projects with personal grants as well as joint collaboration with other institutions. He has been actively mentoring medical students, pediatric and family medicine residents and gastroenterology fellows throughout his career. Dr Gupta was a sub-specialty editor for AAP-Ohio chapter in the past. He has also served in the Gastroenterology Board at American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). He has been on the board of GI-PREP team at American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to create learning materials for gastroenterologists. In 2018, Dr Gupta moved to Rochester to join Golisano Children’s as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in Gastroenterology and as an associate director of Transplant Hepatology.ĭr Gupta has been very active in the field of education and research. Then after, Dr Gupta accepted another position at University of Maryland Medical Center as Gastroenterologist and Director of Pediatric Transplant Hepatology. After finishing his gastroenterology fellowship, he accepted a position at Cleveland Clinic as an assistant professor of Pediatric gastroenterology, where he practiced for few years. Then after he proceeded with another fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at State University of New York, Downstate Brooklyn. He has completed another Pediatric residency at Maimonides Medical Center, NY. He then completed his residency in Pediatrics from University of Delhi along with a Pediatric registrarship. Dr Gupta attended medical school at University College of Medical sciences, University of Delhi, India. He is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Golisano Children’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University Of Rochester School Of Medicine. Dr Gupta has been actively treating children for last 2 decades.
